I am a native of Crenshaw County and graduated with Honors from Highland Home High School in 2009. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Eric and together we have three beautiful children, Adalyn Grace, Reece and Rayleigh Peyton. We love to spend our free time together at the farm or at the softball field with Adalyn Grace!
I graduated in 2013 from the University of Alabama with a dual certification in Early Childhood General Education and Special Education. I continued to pursue my educational career and later obtained a Masters in Early Elementary and Special Education from Auburn University in 2016. (War Eagle!) In 2020, I completed my Masters certificate in Instructional Leadership. I was awarded the Principal Residency Scholarship and served as an administrative intern during the Spring of 2019 at Huntington Place Elementary in Northport, AL. Over the last ten years I have taught pre-k, first grade, second grade, and third grade.
We decided in June of 2020 that we were ready to move back home from Tuscaloosa and raise our children in the country. God opened up the door for me to return to Crenshaw County Schools as a third grade teacher at Luverne School in August of 2020 and I knew immediately that it was where I was supposed to be. October of 2021 I accepted the position as Elementary Assistant Principal.
I was fortunate throughout my educational career to have teachers who truly cared and changed my life and shaped me into the educator I am today. My personal mission every day is to make our students feel loved and that they leave knowing they have a team of educators who believe they will do great things. Luverne is filled with educators, staff members, and community members who truly love this school and the students here and it shows in so many ways. Great things are happening here at Luverne and I am blessed to be a part of this Tiger family.
