Announcements

  • The 39th Annual 1st grade play will be held in the Luverne High School auditorium on April 21st at 6:00 p.m. The first grade play is an annual event sponsored by the Dee Turner PTA. It is presented in honor and memory of Elaine McDougald Goodwin, a life-long educator and member of the Luverne family. After Mrs. Goodwin lost her battle with cancer, the PTA created a scholarship in her name. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving member of the  senior class at Luverne School each year with a total value of $2000. To fund this scholarship, the PTA teamed up with the first grade teachers and started the annual first grade play. This year's play is "A Froggy Day in LIndentown". Preparation for this event began early in the school year and students are now eager to share their play with the public.

Advanced tickets will be on sale Monday, April 18th from 3:00-5:00 in front of the Elementary office. You may also purchase tickets at the door on Thursday, April 21st. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday night.

Please make plans to join the cast and crew of this year's 1st grade play as they show us how valuing everyone in a community helps even the toughest bullies around!39th Annual First Grade Play
